Following a visit from the author, Grant Koper, children from Year R to Year 4 used their creativity to write a story or draw a picture about ‘The day Granny’s knickers blew away!’. In fact, Year 3 and 4 children were allowed to adapt the title and so we saw many differently owned knickers being blown away! Year 5 and 6 created their own stories entirely, drawing first what they could see through a key hole leading to a different land and then writing a story based on what they saw.
So many wonderful stories and drawings were produced, it was incredibly difficult to choose the winning entries. Chosen from a range of different criteria, including effort and perseverance as well as writing skills, we are delighted to display the winning entries for you to enjoy.
Each winner earnt 10 housepoints for their House and the runner up children earnt 5 housepoints. Congratulations to Swanton House who secured 55 housepoints through the competition.
